Winter Elopement in Downtown Troy NY

When Nicole and Jason told their families they wanted a winter wedding in downtown Troy, New York, I can only imagine the reactions. They told me they hadn’t booked a professional photographer for their December wedding. At the same time, I was looking for a couple to model for me in downtown Troy during the winter. It felt like fate.

I couldn’t be there to photograph their actual wedding. But two months later, in February, we recreated the magic of their special day. We used everything from the original day: Nicole’s dress, Jason’s suit and tie, their wedding invitation, their rings—even their cat.

It felt so special to document this important time in their lives. I loved capturing them as they started a new chapter in their relationship.
