happy father’s day!

It’s Father’s Day and I am obligated to (just kidding — I do actually want to) write a brief post about dads, and my dad more specifically. I’m glad there are days like today and Mother’s Day where we can recognize the certain person in our lives who represents and means so much to us. Parents always have a special place in our hearts. But today is all about DAD, so we’ll leave mom on the wayside for now.

I’ll start off by wishing every father out there a very, very Happy Father’s Day. I hope your kids spoil you. Lord knows how much you’ve been spoiling them all these years. I don’t know about you, but I know my dad has always supported me and my siblings in the best way he knew how and I gotta say he did a damn good job raising us kids.

I just want to say a few things about my dad before I sign off. He always makes us laugh, he always takes care of us (even when we don’t ask for it), he does so much for us that we don’t even know half of the things he does for us. So, thanks Dad. For cooking breakfast for me when I stop over on the weekends (even though “ANYONE can cook breakfast!” 😂) and for giving me unwarranted–but definitely much needed–financial advice. Thank you for all those things + so much more. Love you!
