This sunrise anniversary photo session at Peebles Island in Cohoes, New York was a dream! I was up before the absolute butt crack of dawn this morning to photograph Hannah and Nick’s anniversary session in Peebles Island State Park. I have been looking forward to this photo session for months. These two would never disappoint and absolutely crushed it. Today is their one-year wedding anniversary! I am so lucky to have photographed their wedding last year at the Lodge on Echo Lake in the Adirondack Mountains. And I am even luckier to have photographed them again today. You can check out more from their February 2023 wedding here.
Nick loves the cold, so it only made sense for this sweet couple to get married in late February in the mountains. It was such a perfect day just a year ago, and someone was certainly looking down on the happy couple when it started to snow during their outdoor portraits. Even though it didn’t snow for us today, it was certainly frigid enough. Thank goodness for this gorgeous sunrise warming us all up. I have truly enjoyed working with Hannah and Nick twice in this past year. They are so kind, fun, loving, and genuinely themselves.
Hannah wanted to incorporate the couple’s wedding colors into this session, and if you’ve already seen their wedding photos, you will know how amazingly she pulled this off today. To make things even better, we shared a few quick shots with their daughter Lily. While she was unsure of why us weirdos wanted to be out in the cold so darn early in the morning, she was still cute as a button. In addition to photos with Lily, the couple is expecting their second child together and we had to get a couple mama bump photos in. Here are just a few little sneak peeks from their session this morning. Thank you so much Hannah & Nick for being such troopers and braving the cold with me.
